Prayers For An Elderly Patient

Prayers for an elderly kidney patient!

Today I got a golden opportunity to spent some time with an elderly kidney patient. He is 74 years old and his kidneys are damaged. He has been on dialysis for the last month. He always feels very sad and lonely. So, when I visited him, he was very happy and feeling good. We gossiped and had fun. I told him some funny jokes and stories. He laughed heartily.

I also offered him some fresh fruits and vegetables. Also gifted some good books on spirituality and meditation.

He said thanks and gave me many blessings.

Adoption Kids

Today I went to a friend’s house. We were having tea and snacks when my friend’s father received a phone call. We came to know that a person had passed away. My friend and I went to attend the funeral. The person who passed away had only one child, a boy who looked about 12 years old. Now he had become an orphan. The child was crying a lot. He had no support to continue his life. Then I remembered that in Surat there is a donor I know who does not have any children. I called him and explained the whole situation. He immediately came to the location with his wife. Kindness At The Eye Hospital

Kindness at the Eye Hospital, I thank God for helping me finding out from the internet that due to dehydration or drinking less water increases eye pressure. I started drinking more water that resulted in normal eya pressure. Two Opthalmologists confirmed my eye pressure was normal. Dr. SG suggested to have cataract surgery at SRG Hospital. It has well trained proffesional and helpful staff. The Hospital and operation rooms are neat and clean. I am thankful to Ms N and MS B for suggesting me this hospital. On February 5, my cataract surgery was painless and successful I am thankful to Dr. SG for selecting the best plan for my cataract surgery and make it a great a success. I am grateful to Mr. L for giving me rides. I cracked jokes with doctor, gave positive thining booklet to 3 of the hospital staff and two patient and family in waiting room. Told intense ... Thankfully, I Do Meaningful Teamwork

Thankfully, I do teamwork from home for a children's nonprofit.

Yesterday, I emailed a part-time administrative new hire to share my empathy and gratitude for their family's labors of love, social sacrifices, and exhaustive efforts in giving such service to our annual staff party.

I appreciate that I also received a kind response in thankfulness & learned it made their day.

Offering Help To Strangers

Offering Help to strangers.

On the way I helped a young stranger reach the sports academy on time.

Yesterday, I was going to my place on my bike.There was a young boy standing on the way waiting for public transport. He was looking upset and helpless. I stopped my bike near him and asked what happened. Can I do something? He said he is getting late for the sports academy but there is no public transport. i said don't worry, please come with me, i will drop you there. Initially he showed some hesitation but after my request he accepted my offer and sat on the bike. On the way we shared a brief intro about each other and had some fun. He offered me some water and helped me by showing the direction. We reached the destination on time. Before entering the academy he gave a big smile and said thanks. He was looking very relaxed and thankful.

Volunteer And Sympathetic Gesture

Wrote a sympathy card for a neighbor who recently lost a friend and included "forget-me-not" seeds she can plant so their blooms will remind her of her friend. Making muffins most Fridays to fuel a group of people running for a good cause. (They train on Saturday mornings) Volunteered to facilitate a faculty mindfulness community at our college!

Kind card

Outside the supermarket I saw 3 elderly gentlemen playing music and raising money for guide walks. They had a beautiful labrador with them. I donated a small amount and left a beautiful kind card. Hope they were nicely surprised when they opened the box later :-)

Adoption story continues

Today was a very emotional day. Sadly, the father of the young boy passed away and the child was left alone in this world.
After completing all the legal adoption procedures, the boy has now been placed with one of my generous donors’ families. They have lovingly accepted him and will take care of him for the rest of his life.
I pray that this child finds love, safety, and a bright future in his new home. Sometimes life takes away something, but God also sends new people to protect and support us.
May his father’s soul rest in peace, and may this child’s new journey be filled with hope and happiness. 🙏

Pregnant Girl Nutrition

My mother passed on the value of service to me. One of her favorite acts of kindness was helping pregnant girls who had no support. Whenever my mother heard that a young girl was pregnant and needed help, she would personally go to her with special nutritious food to support her health.
Today, I continued the same tradition. Near the place where I live, a girl is pregnant, so I took a special nutrition kit for her and also a baby kit for the coming child. I even met the baby, who was very cute.
I never miss doing this kind of work, because it reminds me of my mother and the values she gave me. 🙏💛

Keeping City Parks Free Of Cigarette Butts

The parks in my city are No Smoking Parks.

Unfortunately, the smokers choose to ignore this, and smoke at the park benches every day, leaving their littered cigarette butts nearby.

I have started leaving an empty metal can for the butts and it seems to be working,

I try to clear the butts from the can and put them in a bag and then the garbage

Helping Sister

Today I was sitting and drinking tea near a sugarcane farm. After some time, two children came running to me and said, “Sir, please help us. Something has happened to our mother. She suddenly fell down.”
I immediately went with the children. When I reached there, I saw that their mother had really fallen down and was unconscious. I quickly picked her up in my arms and brought her under the shade of a tree.
Then I called my NGO and arranged for a doctor. The doctor came and checked her. He said that she had fainted because she had not eaten food for a long time. The doctor gave her an injection and told us to bring some medicines. He also said that once she becomes fully conscious, she should be taken to the hospital for a check-up.
After that, I helped her sit in an auto-rickshaw and took her home. I also bought some snacks for the children and some groceries for the house. Before leaving, I told the children that I will come again tomorrow to check on them.

Tech Support Request

Today, I responded to a Next Door request for some tech support for a local rural business where I am about to relocate in 11 days. It was a courageous feat to follow my intuition and curiosity with what appealed to me about the positive nature of celebrating people's good qualities. The response seemed appreciative like I was a possible answer to prayer and that felt good to know.

This person is a Mama-like person to my mid 50's & I could feel the kind intentions (and empathetically feel some hidden feelings, the kind that people sometimes prefer to hide or select what others know.)

I am grateful for this person's offer to help unload my station wagon on moving day and treat me to lunch. I gave gratitude in the phone call (and by email with a picture of flowers) because I sensed the possible hearing challenge on the phone.

Hurray We've Got Sunshine

The sun was shining yesterday after so much rain these past few weeks. I did a long walk early in the morning, so nice to see and hear the birds and feel the warmth of the sun, and later went to see if my neighbour wanted to go out for a little walk. She can't go out on her own so spends most days alone at home. We had a lovely stroll around the area and then a cup of tea. Always nice to connect and support each other when we can

Love All Feed All

Today I saw some people walking on the road carrying flags. When I asked, I came to know that during the Holi festival they were walking all the way to Dakor Temple for pilgrimage. They were on their way there.
I thought we should arrange something for them. It wasn’t much, but we decided to provide water bottles, snacks, and tea. We went to Nadiad and set up a small camp there. We prepared tea and snacks and arranged drinking water.
Then, we served water, tea, and snacks to all the pilgrims who were passing by. We also spent some joyful time with them and enjoyed the beautiful spirit of the festival.

Mindfully Packing And Sharing

As I mindfully pack with simple living, for kindness to self and the Earth, I contacted the farm volunteer neighbor and offered pantry foods and cold foods that I opted to share forward vs. packing into my station wagon for my 1.5 - 2 hour drive that's coming up in 12 days.

99% was whole foods, organic and/or pesticide free- all top quality, which I knew the couple applied in their life, too.

The offer was accepted and I brought the bag of pantry foods and fridge foods downstairs to be picked up at their leisure.

Walking For Trees

I'm really trying to walk more, and a few days ago someone introduced me to an app where you can collect points for your steps and convert them into rewards. One of the things I can do is donate my points to charitable causes, and following my early morning walk today I discovered that I had collected enough to plant a tree 🌳🌲
Win-win - an app on my phone gets me up and out there, and I can do a little good in the world at the same time.

Kindness Ripples

Today, I practiced kindness by continuing something my family began in the middle of heartbreak. After losing my son, Matt, we chose to carry his spirit forward through kindness. What started as a small tribute became a nonprofit, Matt’s Kindness Ripples On, and eventually grew into a book.

I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to share that my book, Kindness Heroes, releases April 21, 2026. It tells true stories of ordinary people whose small acts created powerful ripple effects in their communities.

Helping A Couple

While I was going on the road, I noticed a couple pushing their bullet motorcycle. I stopped and asked, “What happened, brother?”
He said, “The petrol is over. Yesterday I gave my bullet to a friend. He returned it at night but didn’t refill the petrol. He didn’t even tell me. Now I’m stuck and we are pushing it. What can we do?”
I said, “Don’t worry, I am here.” I told them to sit on the bullet and I pushed it with my bike from behind.
Slowly, I helped them reach the petrol pump safely. They were very thankful and gave me their heartfelt blessings.

Finding A Puppy

Today, a sister’s puppy had gone missing. So we searched all over Bardoli, going to every street and corner.
Finally, we found the puppy in a slum area — someone had taken him there. We brought him back safely and reunited him with his owner.
It was a very happy and emotional moment for her.
