Back To School: School Supply Donation Drive
It is almost Back to School time, which is the day after Labour Day, in most parts of Canada.
I saw a post asking people to donate school supplies, like notebooks, paper, pens, markers, rulers, glue, and similar items.
I went to buy some items and dropped them off yesterday.

A Heartwarming Update Of A Premature Twin Baby
I want to share a very heartwarming update my wife received from the father of twin babies born in November 2025. Back in November last year, my wife received a request from a stranger that one of the twin babies was facing serious health problems due to a suspected blockage in his intestine. My wife told me we should contribute some money, but she also helped raise additional money from her contacts with a post on milaap.org. Even then, her total contribution fell short of the ask.
Today's update from the father reads: "I wanted to share a happy update about Suvin. He recently underwent his second surgery, and by God's grace, it was successful. He is doing well now and has recovered nicely. We are finally back home with him. Thanks for the support and your prayers", along with the photo of his babies on his lap. The news made our day.

Few Hours With A Kidney Patient !
A senior man is on dialysis. He survived from kidney disease for a year. So, he has to spend whole days alone at home. Sometimes he gets upset due to his disease. So, I meet him every two or three days, and share some good stories, jokes, and prayers with him. It gives him some positive and happy feelings and joy.
Sharing time with him also gives me calm and happy feelings. I always enjoy his company. Thanks to him and prayers for him.

Fruits Of Kindness!
Fruits of kindness! I was waiting for an auto on the road. Just then, a woman greeted me with “Namaste” and asked, “Do you recognize me?” I replied, “I can’t recall right now — have we met before?” She laughed and said, “Yes, I know you. You were the one who brought medicine for my child. Because of you, my son is healthy today.” She was accompanied by her son’s wife, who looked a little uneasy seeing her mother talk to a stranger. She asked, “Who is this?” The woman lovingly replied, “Oh, this is the brother who brought natural herbal medicine for our son’s treatment. It is thanks to his help that our son is healthy today.” Hearing this, the young woman also became happy and politely said thank you. I told them, “Oh, it’s not a big thing at all — it was just a small help. I don’t even remember ... Read Full Story >>

β€οΈ Circles Of Kindness
π§Ά Was surprised by someone that I had gifted 3 baby blankets I crocheted for his three infant grandchildren….
Not long after he had come by to pick up the blankets , he returned with his wife to gift us some fruits from his garden (peaches π & grapes π )
His wife loved the baby blankets & wondered if I might crochet something for her. I happily agreed to π
When she said she’d pay for the yarn, I said “we’ll see”, knowing I would tell her to “pay it forward”….. I crochet to give away. It’s a gift for her as well as a gift for me , as I love to crochet & it’s very calming for me π«Άπ½

Keeping a truck driver hydrated.
I live in Australia and although it is our "winter" we are having some really warm days, which is lovely. Today the garbage truck stopped opposite our home and the driver got out for a break, I took him over a can of soft drink as it is so important to keep hydrated and it was an unusually warm day for this time of the year.

Volunteering At The Park
Yesterday I voluteered in the park talking to people about the wildlife mammals that live there. We see deer, racoons, prarie dogs, mountain lions, and bears. We use fake and real skulls, rubber paw prints and scat, and real pelts to show their size and if they are herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores.
We give suggestions for being safe around animals and tips for living near them as many people in the neighborhoods here do.
THEN early this morning my dog wanted to get a drink and we were up as the motion sensor light came on and I looked up and saw this big bear walk by!!!! The outside camera captured it as it rounded the corner. Glad I was on the other side of the windows.
Living with wildlife means learning about them. I am happy I can help people and animals share a space.

Showing Up
I walked to the mail box and saw a neighbor who I had recently heard was facing weighty medical issues. I hadn’t talked much with him before but did my best to show empathy and compassion for his new situation and listen. I often shy away because I don’t want to intrude. But I just wanted him to know I was there as someone who cares.

Is It Kindness Or Duty?
Is it Kindness or duty?
On July 28 , I went to Bopal by bus and returned by bus. Some buses have conductor who issue ticket. Both way no one was there to issue the ticket . So, after returning, I bought two-way ticket at the bus station and discarded it. I consider it my duty to pay for the bus travel.
I gave bunch of quote card and booklet on positive thinking to the passenger seated next to me. We exchanged email ID and phone number. I sent him an email a while ago to start a friendship.
I gave away many quote cards.
I posted this just to remind all my KS friends to be vigilant of their duties.
I am grateful to Sri Sathya Sai Baba for giving me many opportunities to do kindness and helping and guiding and blessing me to manifest them.

Blood For Life!
Blood for life!
Yesterday, I got a call from a stranger for help in getting four units O+ blood for his wife who was suffering from serious anemia. Doctors advised him to arrange blood urgently to save his life. He was crying on the phone and requested me to save his wife's life. I said don't cry, I will do my best. Be positive, God will help you.
I talked with my friends to donate blood for his wife. They said, yes we are ready to help. And we arranged for four units of blood for her.
After the blood transfusion, she is looking better and recovering fast.
Thanks to that stranger for giving me this opportunity to help his wife.

Journey together
Had to work at 2 beautiful colleges these past 2 weeks and took one of my visiting students with me to enjoy the journey. She's from Argentina and learning English for the first time. Hardworking and kind, lovely young lady. She told me she'd never been to the sea so I surprised her. Since one of the colleges is not far from the south coast, I organised an afternoon off and took her to a small coastal village. She loved it! She couldn't believe how beautiful and serene it was. I'm delighted to have shared that special moment with her. What a joy, my heart was full just by looking at her face, smiling....laughing...excited...in awe...

Two Way Beautiful Kindness Dayi ...
Two way Beautiful Kindness Day I started my day with usual prayer for the welbeing of all and sending inspiring email to my contacts and posting inspiring stories, news, on Facebook, KindSpring and WhatsApp as well. Packed up some quote cards and stepped out to spread kindness. The railway crossing was closed to pass a train. It can never close for kindness. I gave quote cards to the drivers waiting at the railway crossing. Due to rainfall, the road wad muddy and the repairs were delayed making it very difficult to walk. I asked a stranger to give me a ride through the muddy waters to the main road. He was going different way but he changed his mind to obliged me giving ride. He dropped me near the bus stop for he was going that way. I am very grateful to him. I told him that your giving me a ride ... Read Full Story >>

Cooling Centres During Hot Summer Days
We have recently had several consecutive days of very high temperatures.
29 degrees Celcius
I signed up to help as a volunteer at some outdoor Cooling Centres, which include tents with tables and chairs and Misting stations, to help anyone who seeks a cool space.
They offer water and food to people in need.
It was great to be able to help.

Flow Journal Et Al
Last week on Substack, I discovered a writer called Words of Taoism. I especially loved his post on "flow." In the post, he offered a free 5-day "Flow Journal." I just finished Day 5. It was very helpful and insightful. https://substack.com/@wordsoftaoism/p-206860461 Today I discovered his podcasts. This is the first one I listened to. There is a transcript for those who are hearing impaired (see the description). It's really helping me right now. I sent a small gift to thank the author for his Flow Journal. The Power of Simplicity (A Tao Te Ching Meditation) https://youtu.be/b3asUXbtd6g ----- I got a lovely letter from Sister Lucy today thanking us for our monthly donation. I have saved every letter. She thanks us every time. We began supporting her work during the pandemic in 2020, and we've supported her every month since. It's only a small gift, but a little goes a long way. I got to help her ... Read Full Story >>

On The Street Corner
While in my car leaving work saw an older woman standing on the corner selling flowers as a way to get some money--she had a sign asking for anything to help. I rolled down the window and gave her a homemade blueberry muffin and apple, looked her in the eyes and sent warm wishes to her. She offered a flower but I said to keep it. I had been saving the apple for my snack after an after-work hike, but felt so good about giving it away and connecting (even if very briefly) heart to heart with this lady. It was a blessing.

Boys Can Cry
One of my summer students asked to talk to me at the end of the day--I'm running a research boot camp for undergrads and everyone is very motivated and hard-working.
He was feeling very down on himself and I got him to open up about his feelings--it seems that he was taught "boys don't cry" and I was able to offer space for him to let it all out (and go through a box of tissues) and express his feelings, and I was able to let him know that it is ok, he is more than enough, and he is competent and belongs here and doesn't have to compare himself to anyone else. I told him all the things I was impressed by that I had observed in him over the past week. Slowly he seemed to settle and I feel like I got through. Asked if I could give him a hug---and he said yes, so I gave him a mama bear hug and told him that he can talk to me about anything anytime. Since that day I have seen him confidently working and interacting and I feel so glad that I was able to provide that space for him. I don't think he ever had that before.

A Small Help With Someoneβs Health Condition
A small help to an old daily wage labor in finding the right medicine for his gastric problem. He is suffering from gastric disease for a long period and was very upset from this problem. Today, he met me in a workplace and shared his problem. So, I suggested some natural remedies with an expert doctor.
Hope that he will recover soon from the gastric problem. Prayers for him….
