Happy Anniversary!

For my next kind act, I decided to give a card and a bottle of champagne to a coworker and his partner for their 7 year anniversary. He mentioned that it was coming up in a previous conversation so I added it to my work calendar so I wouldn't forget. He was so surprised and said that no one has ever given them a card/gift for their anniversary. This made me so happy!

Serving Food

For my last official kind act of the 21 day challenge (I am definitely going to keep the kind acts going), I decided to volunteer serving dinner to the homeless. It was such a rewarding experience. What struck me was how happy the staff was (they were people who benefited from the center's services previously) and how grateful the people were that we served. I got so many thank you's for just being there to help them. It so interesting how I was there to help them, but I was the one that got the most out of it. It was awesome!

A Starbucks Break For Mom

As my 15th of 21 kindness acts, I wanted to give support to one of my closest friends and let her know what a wonderful mom she is. Her daughter was recently diagnosed with Crohn's disease. It has been a challenging process working with doctors and getting her the right care that she needs. I gave her a card and told her she was doing a great job figuring things out for her little sweetie. It can be hard to be strong when your child is hurting. I also included a Starbucks gift card so she could take a break for herself. I mailed it so she had a surprise when she picked up her mail.

Love Note

I wrote my husband a sweet little note telling him how nice it was to spend the weekend with him and left it on his pillow before bed. I thought it would be a nice little surprise. I want him to know how much I like him as a person.

Mcdonald's Breakfast For You!

Today I did a fun act of kindness. As I raced through my morning, I realized I wouldn't have time to eat breakfast so I stopped at McDonald's for a yummy egg mcmuffin to eat on my way to work. I paid for the lady's order behind me and treated her to breakfast. As I pulled away, I could see her smile when the cashier said it was paid for. What a great feeling to start someone's day off with positive energy!

Time For Breakfast!

Every morning at work, I get the best made to order omelette in our cafeteria. The best part is that the guy who makes them is always cheerful and happy. It is a great way to start my morning.

I decided to let his manager know what a great job he was doing and he said he would give him movie passes as recognition. He deserves this as he gets my morning off to a great start!
