Life Saved With One Small Act Of Kindness
I had moved to Arizona about two weeks before the start of my junior year of high school, so not only was this a new school for me, but also a new state and I did not know anyone. On the first day of school at lunch after getting my meal, I sat down at an empty table in the courtyard. As I began to eat I looked around at the other tables and saw another girl sitting alone, so I decided why not go sit with her. Anyway there was no reason for me to have a whole table to myself, and who knew maybe I could make a friend. I walked to verify and said, "Excuse me, do you mind if I sit with you?" IIt doesn't take a lot of Time or Money
I was on my way to a bus stop to head to a doctor's appointment and was stopped by a woman on the sidewalk. She asked me if I knew how to get to CASS( a local homeless shelter in PHX AZ) I could tell she was really upset and I told her I'd look it up then opened up Google maps and gave her instructions. While waiting for directions to load she told me she didn't even know where she was because her boyfriend had ditched her there last night. She then explained she didn't have money for the bus so I told her to wait and I quickly ran into the gas station and got $4 cash back and gave it to her for a full day bus pass and walked with her to the cross walk before running to catch my own bus ...
