A Special Party for the Children at MOMS House

I am working on my bronze award for my Girlscouts.  It's the higest award you can work for as a junior Girlscout and it takes a lot of planning so it's a big big honor that I got permison from my parents and my scout leader.    There are a lot of rules about what I can and can't do for the bronze award.  One big thing I can't do is raise money so I can't have any fund aisrs like I usually do.  There is a place here in my town called MOMS house -- it's a great place 'cause they take care of the babies of teenage mothers so that they can go to school and get a job to be able to take care of their children.   My idea is to have a great big birthday party for the children that they take care of because their moms are so young and they don't have a lot of money.  After ... WE WERE AT A RED LIGHT AND THE LICENSE IN FRONT OF US SAID VIETNAM VET SO I WENT,SO WITH PERMISSION FROM MY MOM CAUSE WE KNEW THE LIGHT WAS A LONG ONE I GOT OUT AND SAID TO THE DRIVER ..thankyou soooooooooooo much for all that you did for me and my family to keep us free.i am very proud to meet youAND THE ELDERLY MAN SMILED AND SAID YOUR VERY WELCOME YOUNG LADY

AND i think he had a tear coming out of his eye BUT MY MOM TOLD ME THAT WAS A GOOD THING.

Helping My Lil Brother Swim

Yesterday, I helped my awesome baby brother to swim in the pool.

I showed him how to kick his feet and blow bubbles and float too.  He was a little scared at first but then he trusted me.  And he did really really good.  The sun was so hot and he got pooped really fast and he took like a 2 hour nap afterwards.  He was soooooooooo tired but I felt good because I taught him a little bit.

I will keep teaching him until he knows how to swim and not drown.  And then, one day, when he gets bigger, perhaps he can help another kid too!
